What is Live & Dry Blood Analysis?
Live & Dry Blood Analysis (LDBA) is an incredibly powerful holistic health assessment tool, that involves examining several drops of blood from your fingertip under a microscope and interpreting the information it gives us about the body. This can then be used to guide us towards optimum health.
Live Blood Analysis involves viewing a drop of blood in its ‘live’ state magnified 1000 times under a microscope. This allows us to check the condition of the blood cells and the plasma, and reveal any other contents of the blood that could be signs of imbalance.
Dry Blood Analysis is when a drop of blood is left to clot and dry on a slide, leaving patterns that are indicative of various imbalances such as metal toxicity, or vitamin and mineral deficiencies.
Who is this for?
There are many reasons why people find Live Blood Analysis a extremely useful technique. Here are a few:
Prevention - people who want to keep on top of their health and be aware of any health changes
Health Issues - people with various health conditions, who want to monitor progress as they follow protocols and treatments.
Investigation - people who know something is not right in their body, and perhaps have been to their doctor and have been told ‘everything is within normal ranges’. They want a more holistic and individualised approach.
What happens at an appointment?
Appointments (60mins approx) cost £175 and take place in our Lewes clinic (see below). We will:
Review your health history, and discuss your health concerns.
Extract a few drops of blood from your fingertip in a quick, mostly painless process similar to the one used daily by diabetics.
Together we will view your ‘live’ blood under the microscope, projected onto a monitor in clinic, and after the ‘dry’ blood sample has dried, we look at that too.
At the end of the appointment you will receive a report, which highlights the indications seen in your blood and includes some recommendations for your next steps (further testing, diet and supplement advice, lifestyle suggestions).
