Functional Analysis of Lab Blood Test Results

Cost: £80-160

Medical blood tests are useful for flagging up anything that is “out of range”. It is worth considering however, that the ranges that are considered normal are not necessarily based on optimum health. Additionally they are not necessarily adjusted to age, stage of life, gender or health history. They are based on information gleaned from data of vast numbers of different human diseases.

Functional nutrition analysis uses slightly different ranges that are based on the optimum functioning of our body’s systems. Your lab blood test results can be compared to these ranges and in doing so it may flag up some indications that offer useful information and guidance for your health.

When these results are combined with the live and dry blood analysis it can provide additional layers of information. In my experience lab tests always reflect the blood analysis results.

This additional service is useful for you to gain a deeper understanding of lab blood tests and what all the letters and numbers mean. You will understand how they relate to your body and your nutrition status.

You will receive a detailed explanation of each indication in the lab test, with the optimum ranges for good health, whereabouts in that range your blood sits, what it means in terms of health, symptoms and other issues related to it. This will also be combined with your blood analysis results so that you can see the correlations. You will be given a list of recommended further testing if relevant, as well as a brief list of recommendations as to what you can do dietary and supplement wise.

Letter to doctor

Cost: £80

There are some particular indications that if seen in during a blood analysis session may need further investigation via medical testing.

Darkfield live blood microscopy does show the state of the blood cells and so it will be obvious if  there are abnormal cells in particularly large numbers and/or there are other abnormalities seen in the blood.

If you have already been given a diagnosis by your Doctor and perhaps you are on medications, possibly several medications, the results of the blood analysis may be useful to your Doctor.

I have written reports and letters for my clients to take to their Dr, their consultant, their functional medicine practitioner or naturopath. They sometimes trigger further medical tests, a recheck of medications or reassessment of treatment.

Further Laboratory Testing

Cost: Price on Request

There may be more specific testing needed depending on the blood analysis results, or your symptoms and health history. As a professional Nutritionist I have access to laboratories and can order a plethora of tests that could be useful in gaining more information on your health and creating a more specific, targeted approach.

It is worth bearing in mind that these are generally very costly, they can present false positives and false negatives and testing once is useful but once you have followed a specific protocol for a certain length of time ideally you need to retest.

In order to know which tests may be useful and the cost of this service for you specifically, we can arrange a call to discuss.
